Kelvinator Fridge Freezer

Kelvinators are like the god father of fridge freezer. Started by William Thomson, 1st Baron Kelvin, who developed the concept of 'absolute zero' back in 1919 and for whom the Kelvinator name came about. Kelvinator after, was thought appropriate for the name of the first company in America to start making, electric domestic refrigerators. The Kelvinator, introduced the first auto-defrost model side-by-side refrigerator in the early 1950's. In the 1960's, Kelvinator refrigerators also introduced "picture frame" doors on some models allowing owners to decorate their appliance to match the decor of their kitchens. What a cool idea!
